A stretch of the A52 is expected to remain closed until around noon following a collision on January 12th. The westbound carriageway between junction 25 of the M1 and Derby was closed as workers clear debris and repaired the road surface. The eastbound carriageway was not affected. Police were called just before 6am to reports that a car had struck the central reservation near Borrowash. The car, thought to be a Peugeot 206, caught fire following the collision. The driver was taken to hospital where her injuries aren’t thought to be life-threatening. Police would like to thank drivers for their patience during the work to make sure the carriageway is safe for traffic.
