GONG FOR BREASTON BORN ACTRESS

Breaston born actress Molly Windsor has picked up the award for Leading Actress at the Virgin TV British Academy Television Awards (TV BAFTAs). Molly picked up the award for her work in the BBC mini-series Three Girls, on Sunday night May 13th at the ceremony which was broadcast live on BBC One. Molly attended Bilborough College, where staff were overjoyed by her success. Molly’s former form tutor, Jill Shield said: “ I knew that she’d been nominated and was looking out on Sunday to see if she’d won. She was always so modest about her talent. It’s extraordinary.”
Broadcast last year, Three Girls told the real-life story of three teenage girls who were raped as part of Rochdale child sex abuse ring.
On the night the drama was also awarded a gong for Best Mini-series.
