PLANNING

Erewash Borough Council have received an application for a first floor side extension at 79 Stevens Lane, Breaston.

PLANNING DECISION

An application to demolish an existing extension to the adjacent semi detached property and form a detached three bedroom property with car parking for the existing and proposed dwellings at 16 Albert Road, Breaston, has been approved.

An application for the erection of a two storey side extension at 77 Derby Road, Draycott, has been approved.

LINE FLOODED AT DRAYCOTT

On Sunday 16th February, after heavy rain, the railway was again flooded at Draycott and disrupted trains on the Sheffield /Nottingham / London St Pancras and the Matlock / Derby / Nottingham routes.
East Midlands Railway provided replacement buses for passengers travelling to and from Long Eaton.

TEENAGER FOUND

Derbyshire police have issued an update on the whereabouts of a missing teenager Freddy Lewsley. The fourteen-year-old went missing on Friday, September 2nd and concerns were raised. He was believed to have connections to the Long Eaton area. Following an appeal on social media, Freddy has now been found safe. Officers from Derbyshire police have now thanked members of the public for their help in finding the teenager.
