BODY FOUND IN DERWENT

The body of a man, thought to be that of Trevor Needham, has been found in the River Derwent at Draycott. A member of the public called police on Sunday June 24th, having found a body. Formal identification has yet to take place but police believe the body to be that of Mr Needham (68), from Codnor, who was last seen at Darley Abbey Mills. Mr Needham left his home in Codnor at about 9.45am on Wednesday, April 4th, and was due to visit Swanwick, but never arrived. It is known that he visited Darley Abbey Mills that afternoon. His family have been informed.
Police would like to thank everyone who shared their appeals to help find Mr Needham.
